Willowbrook students win awards, scholarships at Illinois High School Art Exhibition

On Feb. 25, seven Willowbrook students were recognized and honored for their talent and work during the Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE) in Chicago.

Below are the awards/recognitions earned by those students.

• Junior Jenna Krenzel (pictured above): IHSAE General Exhibition participant, Sculpture – Bronze Award
• Junior Sydney Wilson: IHSAE General Exhibition participant, Drawing
• Senior Esther Lee: IHSAE General Exhibition participant, Photography
• Senior Carolyn Vittorio: IHSAE General Exhibition participant, 2D Design

• Senior Daniel Weir (pictured above, left): IHSAE General Exhibition participant, Painting; Selected to participate in the IHSAE Senior Scholarship Exhibition and received scholarships from various art and design schools
• Senior Isabel Lopez (pictured above, middle): Selected to participate in the IHSAE Senior Scholarship Exhibition and received scholarships from various art and design schools
• Senior Olivia Rundgren (pictured above, right): Selected to participate in the IHSAE Senior Scholarship Exhibition and received scholarships from various art and design schools

The IHSAE will be displayed through March 9 at Zhou B Art Center and Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago. The event features 1,000 student artists from more than 125 Illinois high schools. For more information, go to www.ihsae.org.
