Willowbrook celebrates the graduation of its preschool class

On May 10, parents/guardians and Willowbrook students and staff members gathered to celebrate the graduation of students in the school’s Little Warrior Preschool program.
The preschoolers wore graduation caps and gowns and received a certificate for their hard work. After the ceremony, they enjoyed treats with their parents/guardians and the Willowbrook students who taught them during second semester.
The 10 children in the class are from the surrounding communities. They spent two days a week with the Little Warrior Preschool class, during which Willowbrook students conducted lessons in math, science, art, music, language arts and large/small muscle.

What: The preschool class is taught by Willowbrook students in the Preschool I, Preschool II and Preschool Internship courses. Participants experience lessons in math, science, art, music, language arts and large/small muscle.
When:
- Preschool takes place from 10 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- The fall session will run from October to December (nine weeks).
- The spring session will run from March to May (nine weeks).
Where: Willowbrook High School, 1250 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park (in the Early Childhood classroom)
Who: The program is open to children ages 3 to 5.
Cost: $150 a session for each child
*A $50 deposit (which will go toward the $150 total) is due by June 1.
