Willowbrook earns recognition as 2024 U.S. News Best High School

District 88 is pleased to share Willowbrook has earned recognition as one of the 2024 U.S. News Best High Schools.

The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data on nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college. District 88 and Willowbrook provide a high-quality and comprehensive learning environment to prepare students to be college and career ready in a diverse society. With a district graduation rate of about 90 percent, students attend colleges and universities throughout the U.S., including Ivy League and other highly competitive institutions. The district’s curricular offerings include more than 30 Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level courses and more than 50 Dual-Credit/Collegiate-Credit courses in 17 career pathway areas, along with award-winning fine arts programming. Each year, students earn more than 1,000 career certifications, and families save more than $1 million in college tuition through students taking college-credit courses.

District 88 students also continue to earn state and national recognitions in academics, extracurricular activities, fine arts and athletics.

District 88 has 51 languages and more than 30 countries represented among its families and offers programming to meet the needs of its diverse population. A main focus of the district is to cultivate inclusive and rigorous learning opportunities for students to pursue individualized pathways to success.
