Willowbrook students are working hard every day to become more educated with their health and wellness, and we are thrilled to showcase those accomplishments through this monthly column.
In this month’s edition of Warrior Wellness, we are proud to highlight our individualized fitness and weight training classes! Our focus is on improving human performance, using a variety of training methods designed to meet the needs of our students. The majority of pupils enrolled in those courses are involved in multiple athletic and extracurricular activities, and we work with them so they can perform optimally in their respective areas.

Benefits of resistance training:
The purpose of a strength-training program is to improve bone density, tendon and ligament strength and muscle hypertrophy and strength. What that means for students in our individualized fitness and weight training courses is greater productivity at school and on the field. Participants also have experienced:

Exercise tip:
There are several health benefits associated with jumping rope such as improved cardiovascular and cognitive function, as well as improved reaction time and coordination. It’s an inexpensive exercise and can be performed almost anywhere!
