On Feb. 8, Willowbrook choir students had the opportunity to participate in a master class with alumna Catherine Cook (class of 1981).

Cook discovered opera during a field trip when she was a student at Willowbrook, which changed her life forever. She has excelled in a range of roles with leading opera companies throughout the U.S. and teaches at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She also received the Willowbrook Distinguished Alumni Award in 2017 (read more at https://www.dupage88.net/site/public/files/?item=5767).

Cook is in town while she has a role at Lyric Opera of Chicago and was thrilled to give back to her alma mater. Read more about Cook at https://sfcm.edu/study/faculty/catherine-cook.
