During that event, more than 60 students – who are leaders in athletics, clubs and activities at the school – participated in three workshops, each with a specific objective.

  1. To help students develop essential leadership skills, build confidence and enhance emotional intelligence to prepare them to be future leaders.

  2. To enhance participants’ communication skills, which are essential for leadership roles.

  3. To strengthen teamwork and collaborative skills among participants.

The students also had the opportunity to attend a presentation with Brandon Burns, international keynote speaker, elite athlete, viral influencer (with more than 50 million views on social media), two-time Big Ten Championship-winning coach, and serial entrepreneur. Burns shared his journey of overcoming personal and athletic adversity to inspire students to fulfill their potential every day, get the most from their school experience and build toward future success.
