Addison Trail students enhance their knowledge of Italian culture by visiting Alamode Foods, local restaurants

On March 14, 43 Addison Trail students who are enrolled in Italian 3 Honors Dual-Credit and AP Italian Language and Culture participated in a field trip to Alamode Foods in Franklin Park.

During their visit, the students met with Angelo Lollino, Owner of Alamode Foods and Massa Cafe Italiano, and Stephanie Leipart, Director of Business Administration with Alamode Foods, and toured the factory. They were able to see how the coffee beans are roasted and how the gelato is made fresh daily with ingredients from Italy, and they were provided with samples to taste. They also learned about summer job opportunities with the company. The group then traveled to Elmwood Park and ate at various restaurants, including Lollino’s Massa Cafe Italiano.
