On Sept. 16, 16 Addison Trail students participated in a career-exploration field trip to Porter Pipe & Supply in Addison.
Those students are enrolled in Addison Trail’s School to Work class (taught by teacher Stacey Puccini), which provides pupils with real-world experiences through visiting local businesses and meeting with career professionals.
During their visit to Porter Pipe, students toured the facility and met with Chief Executive Officer Nick Porter and Learning and Development Manager Andrew Peck. Porter and Peck spoke about various career opportunities with the company, as well as the expectations and culture at Porter Pipe. The group also heard from other employees, including Safety Manager Justin Sassen and Materials Manager Eduardo Uribe.
