District 88 students and staff members have benefitted from the positive partnerships with local businesses and organizations through the Addison Business-Education Partnership Council.
The involvement ranges from curricular aspects such as classroom presentations, onsite job shadowing, internships and employment to fundraising opportunities, including benefit nights, sponsorships and donations.
The generosity of community members and business leaders provide District 88 students with the skills and learning experiences they need to be successful.
Launched in 2004-05, the Addison Business-Education Partnership Council meets monthly with local schools and business partners for important discussions about student achievement, parent involvement and community outreach programs.
Mission
The mission of the Addison Business-Education Partnership Council is for business professionals and education leaders to work together to provide opportunities for students in Addison to succeed inside the classroom and beyond through strengthening the relationship and partnership between education and the community.
