Telescreen Viewer Guide

This document will give a brief overview of how to navigate Telescreen as an end-user.  

Mobile Application Configuration (Only for iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch)

1. Open Safari on your device and navigate to your telescreen server, in this case: 
   
   telescreen.dupage88.net
   
   
   
   
2. Click the button to the left of the address bar and select Add to Home Screen.
   
   
   
   
3. You should then have an icon like the one pictured below, touch the Telescreen icon to launch it.
   
   
   
   
4. If you would like to have your iPad/iPhone/iPod save your username and password, you can enable this feature in Safari by:
   1. Launching Settings
   2. Select Safari
   3. Select AutoFill
   4. Turn Names and Passwords on. If you do this it is highly recommended that you password protect the lock screen of your device.  

Note: When viewing Telescreen on a mobile device, it is important to log off when you are finished using the application to avoid excessive data usage on mobile data plans. Some mobile operating systems will continue streaming even when the screen/device is asleep.  

View Single Cameras

1. Launch Telescreen and login with your username and password.
   
   
   
   
2. Select Camera List from the left-hand menu and select a camera by clicking on the green checkmark.
   
   
   
   

View Camera Location on Map

1. Select Camera Map from the left-hand menu and select either View Map or Partrol Map.
   
   
   
   View Map - This mode allows you to select cameras from a map view.  When you click/touch on a camera, it will load the full-sized, single camera view.
   Patrol Map - This mode allows you to view small camera thumbnail images on a map (up to six at a time).  Then you can click/touch a thumbnail the system will load the full-sized camera view.   
   
   
2. On the map, click on a camera icon or the camera name to view the camera.

Create and View Custom Camera Layouts

1. Select Manage Layouts from the menu bar and click on Add View.
   
   
   
   
2. Give your new layout a Title and select a Layout, then click Add.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on the Assign Camera button associated with your new layout.
   
   
   
   
4. Add cameras to your layout in order by clicking on the camera title from the camera listing.
   
   
   
   
5. View your layout by clicking on View Cameras from the menu bar, then My Layouts from the left-hand menu.
