Important message regarding course selection for 2024-25 school year

Hello, everyone. My name is Dr. Jean Barbanente, and I have the honor to serve as the Superintendent of DuPage High School District 88, and I’d like to share some important information with you. This is an exciting time here in District 88, as students are beginning to plan their journey for the 2024-25 school year.

Here in District 88, we are proud to offer a comprehensive curriculum, including more than 30 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and more than 50 Dual-Credit/Collegiate-Credit courses in 17 career pathway areas, along with award-winning fine arts programming. Last year, our students earned more than 3,000 college credits and more than 1,000 career certifications, and our families saved more than $1 million in college tuition. Our students also continued to earn state and national recognitions in academics, extracurricular activities, fine arts and athletics.

District 88 has the coursework, extracurricular opportunities, work-based experiences and academic support programs to help each and every student achieve his/her unique goals.

Please plan to join us on Thursday, Jan. 25, for the Course Information Night and Curriculum Showcase at Addison Trail and Willowbrook high schools. The night will begin with an Activities/Athletics Fair at 5:30 p.m., the Opening Session will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the Course Information Night/Curriculum Showcase portion of the evening will begin at 7 p.m.

Detailed schedules for each school can be accessed at www.dupage88.net/CurriculumShowcase2024

We strongly encourage you to come to meet our incredible staff and witness firsthand the phenomenal programs we have to offer your students and further understand how we can support students along their individual journeys.

In addition to the rigorous academic opportunities afforded to District 88 students, all students also have the opportunity to access academic support with licensed teachers in each content area through our resource centers (the Academic Success Center at Addison Trail and the Warrior Resource Center at Willowbrook) every period of the day, including zero and ninth hour (after school). Students who would like to be scheduled into a resource period should let their counselor know at the time of course selection.
