Addison Trail students participate in first Illinois Regional Orchestra Consortium Honors Orchestra festival

Dr. Louis Bergonzi, Director of Orchestras at The University of Illinois at Chicago, works with students from Addison Trail, Dundee-Crown, Elk Grove, Leyden, Wheeling, Glenbard East and West Chicago high schools during the first Illinois Regional Orchestra Consortium (IROC) Honors Orchestra festival. That event took place on April 27 at Addison Trail.

On April 27, 50 students from Addison Trail, Dundee-Crown, Elk Grove, Leyden, Wheeling, Glenbard East and West Chicago high schools participated in the first Illinois Regional Orchestra Consortium (IROC) Honors Orchestra festival at Addison Trail.

Participants were nominated by their director and were selected for demonstrating musical excellence with their instrument. Students worked with Dr. Louis Bergonzi, Director of Orchestras at The University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as the Avalon String Quartet. They then performed a concert.

Addison Trail musicians who participated are senior Kristopher Kusnierz, junior Tina Tagaris, senior Clayton Callaway, junior Monika Poniatowski, sophomore Elizabeth Bernar, freshman Madelyn Ford, junior Nina Mirza and junior Parvathy Nair.
