Willowbrook partners with Young Hearts for Life to provide free cardiac screenings for students: Parents/guardians encouraged to register their child today

Willowbrook has again partnered with the Young Hearts for Life® (YH4L) Cardiac Screening Program, a not-for-profit organization, to offer electrocardiograms (ECGs) to identify Willowbrook students at risk for heart conditions that can cause sudden cardiac death (SCD). More than 60 young adults die from SCD each week in the U.S., most without any warning signs. A simple, painless and noninvasive ECG can detect about 70 percent of heart conditions associated with SCD; a pre-participation physical can only detect about 4 percent of these conditions.

Endeavor Health Elmhurst Hospital and YH4L donors are generously sponsoring this free cardiac screening for all Willowbrook students. Willowbrook encourages parents/guardians to take advantage of this program and to register their child today.
