Upcoming Career and Technical Education (CTE) field trips/events for District 88 students

District 88 students are invited to attend several upcoming Career and Technical Education (CTE) field trips/events. These events will provide opportunities for pupils to learn about the various career options available to them after high school.

District 88 encourages students to participate in the events below as part of Manufacturing Month and Manufacturing Day, which take place each October. According to the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) (https://ima-net.org), “Manufacturing Month is the chance … to celebrate and highlight the manufacturing industry’s many contributions to the state and nation. It also is an opportunity to build excitement about careers in manufacturing, particularly for the newest generation entering the workforce.”

What: Trades Awareness Fair for high school seniors (representatives from more than 20 trades are scheduled to attend)
When: 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 5

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 25
