District 88 students invited to make positive community change through joining PhilanthroParty and Reality Illinois

Reality Illinois, the Teen Advisory Board to the DuPage County Health Department, is open to all high school students in DuPage County who are committed to positive community change. Members advocate, participate in service projects and assist with the health department’s youth media campaigns. The group focuses on well-being, empowering leaders and creating positive impact, and members meet weekly during the summer and monthly during the school year.

This summer, the group will meet from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Glenbard District Office, 596 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. Students also are invited to attend the annual PhilanthroParty/Party With a Purpose to begin the summer programming at 1:30 p.m. on June 14 at College of DuPage. The event will focus on decreasing stress with an art therapist and therapy dogs. For details and to register, go to https://dupage88.net/site/public/files/?item=6379.
