Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club hosts annual Senior Athletic Banquet
On May 18, the Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club hosted its annual Senior Athletic Banquet.
During the event, 2021-22 highlights and successes of each athletic team were shared, and student-athletes from the class of 2022 were recognized for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
Award winners and scholarship recipients also were named, and those honorees are:
- Athletic Booster Club Outstanding Male Athlete: Alex Simmons
- Athletic Booster Club Outstanding Female Athlete: Emma Rattana and Bella Naumovsky
- Helen Carpenter Most Valuable Female Athlete: Izabelle Manning
- John A. Fischer Most Valuable Male Athlete: Nick Mabutas
- Assistant Coach of the Year: Katherine Milling (Boys Volleyball) and Anthony Gebhart (Football)
- Head Coach of the Year: Irene Mason (Girls Volleyball)
- Team of the Year: Girls Volleyball
- Athletic Booster Club Scholarship: Bella Naumovsky, Ellie Hassler, Emma Rattana, Cristian Lager, Tess Placek and Lily Weder
- Lauren M. Kiefer Memorial Scholarship: Elizabeth Bruschuk and Dominic Faillo
- Susan Jurkonis Scholarship: Elizabeth Bruschuk, Devin Cullerton, Rachael Klamecki and Cristian Lager
- John Hamann Scholarship: Cristian Lager and Izabelle Manning
- Villa Park Warriors Youth Football & Cheer Scholarship: Daniel Dowling and Madison Orlowski
- Pizzotti Family Scholarship: Katie Linnig
