Students in Addison Trail’s School to Work class visit DuPage Airport Authority

On April 27, 13 Addison Trail students traveled to DuPage Airport Authority.

Those students are enrolled in Addison Trail’s School to Work class (taught by teacher Stacey Puccini), which provides pupils with real-world experiences through visiting local businesses and meeting with career professionals.

During their visit, students met with DuPage Airport Authority Director of Operations and Facilities Tom Cleveland, who presented about various careers available in the airport/aviation field. Those positions/departments include pilot, flight attendant, baggage handler, cargo, fleet services (gas, deicing, etc.), maintenance, mechanic, air traffic controller, concierge, security and fire safety/paramedic. Cleveland also shared a link for employment opportunities at the airport (https://www.dupageairport.com/airport-authority/administration/employment/).
