District 88 Human Resources - Benefits/Salary

The following benefits are available to all employees:

Medical Insurance

HMO or PPO plans available for full time employees. The Board of Education pays for 85% of the premiums for single plans and about 70% of the premiums for family plans.

Dental Insurance

HMO or PPO plans available for full time employees. The Board of Education pays for 85% of the premiums for single plans and 70% of the premiums for family plans.

Term Life Insurance

Eligible employees will be provided a $50,000 term life insurance policy with premiums paid by the Board of Education.

Year-Round Salary Option

Ten-month employees may have their pay dispersed over 12 months.

Leave

Paid sick leave, paid emergency/personal business leave, paid jury duty, military leave, unpaid family medical leave, and unpaid personal leave.

Vacation

Eligible 12-month employees are granted paid vacation days in accordance with the current agreement.

Credit Union

Optional membership with the DuPage Credit Union is available for all employees. Payroll deduction may be arranged.

Voluntary Pension Contributions

An optional tax-sheltered program that conforms to all of the requirements of applicable law is available to employees.

Flexible Spending Plan

A pre-tax flexible spending plan allows employees to set aside funds for health expenses and dependent care on a pre-tax basis.

Tuition Reimbursement

Courses directly related to the job or part of a degree program curriculum related to the job are eligible for reimbursement with prior approval.

Retirement Benefits

Employees participate in the appropriate state retirement system (TRS or IMRF). Based on the employee’s years of service to the district, additional salary incentives are available.


The DuPage High School District 88 certified salary schedule is based upon the education and experience of each teacher. One year of salary schedule credit for each year of full-time teaching experience, up to a maximum of five years.
