Addison Trail Guidance Department available to assist seniors with college application process
Addison Trail might be in a virtual environment because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, but the Guidance Department is still available to support students and staff!
Seniors, check out the list below to see how your counselor can assist you in accomplishing your post-secondary goals.
- Through the end of first semester, counselors will meet with seniors online to help with college applications. Counselors are able to share the screen with students to guide them through the process step by step. Seniors who have questions or need more support are welcome to contact their counselor to coordinate additional Zoom calls.
- Seniors and their parents/guardians are encouraged to contact Elizabeth Barrera, Addison Trail’s representative from Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), to set up a time to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and ask questions regarding financial assistance. Appointments can be scheduled at https://tinyurl.com/yyuuaw6r. Barrera also can be reached at Elizabeth.Barrera@illinois.gov or 630-689-7759, and she speaks Spanish as well.
- The Guidance Department is providing a newsletter for seniors with lots of information regarding preparing for college. Be sure to check it out at https://www.smore.com/xmwjb!
- Staff members are invited to contact the Guidance Department for assistance with writing letters of recommendation for students.
