District 88 provides Remote Summer School

From June 1 to 26, District 88 provided Remote Summer School. More than 600 students participated in the programming, which allowed them to recover credits from failed courses, as well as complete work that was incomplete at the end of spring semester because of Remote Learning. Fourteen courses were offered.

Staff engaged students in learning using Google Classroom, Google Docs and Google Meets to provide instructional materials, academic support and assessments. School counselors, social workers and psychologists also were available daily for social and emotional supports.

  • Students earned 180 credits in credit recovery and academic support classes

  • 111 students completed Online Consumer Management

  • 46 students completed District 88’s Extended School Year remote special education programs
