Attention, Addison Trail students and parents/guardians! Did you know Addison Trail provides a Writing Center as a resource to assist students?

The center is dedicated to supporting students’ development into effective and confident writers, and students are encouraged to bring writing assignments from any class subject, college application essays, scholarship essays or personal writing.

The center is open throughout the school day (from 7:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.) in room 220. Pupils are welcome to stop by during their resource or lunch period, or they can schedule an appointment for a writing conference by sending an e-mail to Writing Center Aide MaryKathryn Maranowicz at mmaranowicz@dupage88.net. Conferences involve discussing strengths and weaknesses of the paper, introducing strategies and resources to improve writing, facilitating student-generated revisions (pupils are expected to be engaged in the editing process) and fostering a supportive and positive environment for writers.

For questions or more information, contact Maranowicz at mmaranowicz@dupage88.net.
