Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club hosts annual Senior Athletic Banquet
On May 15, the Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club hosted its annual Senior Athletic Banquet at Venuti’s Italian Restaurant & Banquet Hall in Addison.
During the event, 2018-19 highlights and successes of each athletic team were shared, and student-athletes from the class of 2019 were recognized for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
Award winners and scholarship recipients also were named, and those students are:
- Athletic Booster Club Outstanding Male Athlete: Matas Masys
- Athletic Booster Club Outstanding Female Athlete: Victoria Palma and Elissa Haake
- Helen Carpenter Most Valuable Female Athlete: Hanna Konrath
- John A. Fischer Most Valuable Male Athlete: Scott Tumilty
- Athletic Booster Club Scholarship: Elissa Haake, Matas Masys, Syed Omar, Katherine Pettinger, Richard Scheelk III and Scott Tumilty
- Lauren M. Kiefer Memorial Scholarship: Claryce Dooley, Matt Knudtson, Dylan Mejia-Ruiz and Richard Scheelk III
- Susan Jurkonis Scholarship: Sabrina Edwards, Joseph Garner, Victoria Palma and William Stout
- John Hamann Scholarship: Katelyn McCann and Richard Scheelk III
- Villa Park Warriors Youth Football & Cheer Scholarship: Anthony Devens, Madeline Flaskamp, Matt Knudtson and Tyler Walenga (also recipient of the Taylor Family Scholarship)
