On April 12, about 455 students danced the night away during Addison Trail’s Prom at Carnivale Chicago.

The theme of this year’s Prom was “A Night in Rio.” Members of the 2019 Prom Court are seniors Jessica Myrda, Claudia Czerepko, Alondra Muniz, Melanie Estrada, Melvin Mora, Michael Scali, Ramiro Castro and Vincent Daudelin. Prom King is senior Luis Medina, and Prom Queen is senior Stephanie Preciado.

The Prom Committee also hosted two new events this year to promote Prom. There was a “promposal” contest for the most creative way to ask someone to prom, and the winner won a free Prom ticket. There also was a Prom Pic Game, where staff members submitted their Prom photos, and resource classes had to guess who was in the pictures. The resource classes of Lily De La Torre and Hannah Sutton won the game, and the Prom Committee will provide those students with breakfast.
