Willowbrook introduces 2018-19 National Honor Society inductees

Willowbrook is proud to announce the 2018-19 National Honor Society (NHS) inductees.

Nearly 170 students were recognized and inducted or reaffirmed into the NHS during a ceremony on April 17. During the event, student officers highlighted successes of this year and the four tenets of NHS – leadership, service, character and scholarship. Seniors received a cord to wear during graduation, juniors received a pin and sophomores received a certificate. As each senior received a cord, he or she spoke about an influential teacher to whom he or she wrote a thank you note.

The event’s keynote speaker was math teacher Steve Bridges.

To be inducted into Willowbrook’s NHS, students must apply and have a minimum 3.5 GPA, as well as demonstrate leadership, service, character and scholarship. To see the list of the 2018-19 NHS members, go to https://www.dupage88.net/site/public/files/?item=4419.
