Enrollment

Enrollment in the ARC is based on referrals from teachers, guidance staff, parents or students themselves.  While the ARC is open to the entire student body, a priority is given to students who demonstrate need for additional academic support.

ARC Supports

The ARC is supervised by the literacy department head and supported by teacher aides who are available for research-based instruction in a variety of subject areas.  Staff will provide:

  • Need-based strategy and skill development in reading, writing, mathematics, science reasoning, goal setting, organization and general study skills.
  • Reinforcement of content-area learning targets to help promote mastery.
  • Weekly progress monitoring and student-driven goal setting.
  • Communication with parents, content-area teachers and guidance staff.
