Willowbrook culinary students showcase skills during Ice Cream Creation Project final exam

On May 21, students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher Amy Nowak’s Culinary Arts 2 class participated in an Ice Cream Creation Project as their final exam.

The students worked in groups to explore the science and culinary art of ice cream making. They were required to:

  • Research, develop and create a unique flavor of ice cream.

  • Put together a visual presentation detailing research findings, the recipe development process, experimentation notes and the final recipe (including costs).

Staff members served as judges, and they evaluated the ice cream entries based on taste and appearance.
