On March 23, 86 female Addison Trail students participated in a day of support and connection to honor and recognize Women’s History Month.

The event was called S.H.E. Day, which stands for Support one another, Honor each other and Evolve together. Participants watched a video that showcased the importance of those themes within relationships. They also had an opportunity to ask questions and discuss a variety of topics with a “blue table” panel of District 88 and Addison Trail administrators and staff members. They shared thoughts about friendship, respect, caring for yourself and others, body image and more.

S.H.E. Day was coordinated by Addison Trail Student Success Coordinator VaLarie Humphrey, and the plan is to have another similar event before the end of the school year.

Addison Trail hosted several events throughout March to celebrate Women’s History Month, and the school’s theme this year is “Women who tell our stories.” Read more at https://www.dupage88.net/site/page/15451.
