Counseling Corner: Addison Trail Counseling Department assists with course selection and planning for next steps after high school

The Addison Trail Counseling Department is committed to helping students achieve their goals and reach success while in high school and beyond. As part of that focus, the department will host the following events to assist students and parents/guardians.

• Virtual Open House: From 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 23, parents/guardians and students are invited to meet with counselors via Zoom to get assistance with the course selection process for the 2023-24 school year. Details regarding how to make an appointment will be e-mailed to parents/guardians. Course selection is a vital part of a student’s high school career, and parental involvement is essential. • Freshmen/Sophomore Post-Secondary Planning Night: Starting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 23, freshmen and sophomores and their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend a Zoom meeting to learn about post-secondary options and career pathway courses available to students, as well as information about the college search process.
