Addison Trail senior earns first place in Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association (ICCA) Scholarship program

Addison Trail senior Giovanna Mosely (pictured above) recently earned first place in the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association (ICCA) Scholarship program.

Mosely was one of 11 finalists and was announced as the top finisher during the ICCA Championships, which took place on Jan. 8 and 9 in Springfield. The scholarship supports senior cheerleaders throughout Illinois in their pursuit of continuing education. The nomination process involved submitting an application with an official transcript (non-weighted GPA and ACT/SAT score), a coach’s questionnaire and a video that showcases cheerleading skills, as well as participating in an interview.

Mosely earned $3,000 based on her athletic abilities in cheerleading, her leadership skills, her grades and more. She is the first Addison Trail student-athlete to receive this award. For more information, go to https://www.cheericca.org/honors/scholarship.
