from the Superintendent:
Building Futures in District 88
“Building Futures”
in District 88 refers to the mission of supporting, guiding, and
setting high expectations for student success
at
Addison Trail
and Willowbrook
High Schools. Every student has to be prepared to leave high school
and experience higher level academic and career opportunities. The
2008-2009 school year will continue to focus on building student
skills for their future opportunities.

schedule for completion during the 2010-11 school year. While
construction continues throughout the year at Addison Trail and
Willowbrook, safety and security for all students and staff will be
the highest priority. Students will be reminded weekly about the
work being done and safety guidelines/procedures.

Learning that
focuses on “Building Futures” for all students will be the priority
that unites the efforts of all staff in District 88. Having strong
academic skills and exhibiting positive behaviors opens doors to
unlimited opportunities. The
District
88 Board of Education
is committed to providing the best, comprehensive programs to ensure
that students are supported along their journey of learning.
As the new school year begins, we ask
all parents, guardians, grandparents, and family members to partner
with our staff to direct student focus to “Building Futures.”
Together with family and community support, we can move all students
to higher levels of achievement.
The Board of
Education and I are excited to open the 2008-2009 school year with a
focus on the future for new facilities and new learning. Please
join us in this important endeavor to ensure students are prepared
for future success.
Thank you for supporting the students, staff, and future of
